Boston.TV Chronicles Battle of the Tech Bands

We always knew we had it in us to look glamorous on TV. We just needed some hotshot video producers and editors to bring out our inner Ryan Seacrests. Mark Woit, son of Xconomy’s publisher Steve Woit, shot some great video at our big Battle of the Tech Bands event at the Middle East on January 22. And now Boston.TV, the area’s leading independent online video network, has published its own segment on the Battle (embedded below, and also viewable here).

The video features interviews with Xconomy founder Bob Buderi, yours truly, and personnel from all of the bands that competed, including Christoph Krey from McAlister Drive, Thomas Wilson of the Souled Out Superband, Andrew Blowen of One Hand Free, Scott Miller from The Knuckledusters, Rich Savoie from Sad Marvin, and Joseph King from Deadbeat Darling. (King’s band won the Audience Favorite vote , while Krey’s group won the prize for Most Innovative Performance.)

Production of the video was spearheaded by Dave Gutt, Boston.TV’s arts & entertainment producer and post-production supervisor, to whom we’d like to send out a big thank-you.
