VMware (NYSE:[[ticker:VMW]]), the virtualization subsidiary of Hopkinton, MA-based EMC
(NYSE:[[ticker:EMC]]), announced today that it would invest $100 million in India by 2010 to expand its existing research and development presence in that country. The investment will include building a new, 82,000-square-foot development center in Bangalore and doubling its local engineering organization to more than 1,000 workers.
