Quanterix Collects $15 Million in Series A Venture Round

Quanterix, a privately held developer of medical diagnostics technology in Cambridge, MA, has raised $15 million in a Series A financing, according to VentureWire. Arch Venture Partners, Bain Capital, and Flagship Ventures participated in the financing. Tufts University researcher David Walt, a founder of San Diego-based Illumina (NASDAQ: [[ticker:ILMN]]) is a co-founder of Quanterix. The company’s technology is used to identify single molecules in human blood, which escape detection from standard Elisa diagnostic tests, according to the company’s web site.
