Science Educators Win $1.4M NIH Grant

The Northwest Association for Biomedical Research has received a $1.35 million award for science education programs from the National Institutes of Health. The five-year grant, one of 16 given nationally, will help secondary school teachers and students learn about the science and ethics of how biomedical research is conducted, the nonprofit group said in a statement. “It is great to see the Northwest Association for Biomedical Research receive the recognition and funding that this award represents,” said Gov. Christine Gregoire, in a statement.
