nLight Raises $10.7M

nLight, the Vancouver, WA-based developer of high-powered semiconductor lasers, said it has raised $10.7 million in the first closing of a new round of equity financing. The cash came from existing investors Oak Investment Partners, Mohr Davidow Ventures, and Menlo Ventures. The money will be used to continue developing integrated laser modules, and boost sales to customers in the industrial, defense, and medical markets, the company said.
