Onset Banks $3M to Expand Offerings

Onset Technology, a Waltham, MA-based provider of compliance software for smartphones, says that it has landed $3 million in a financing led by the Cedar Fund of Waltham, Israel, and Grand Cayman. Onset plans to use the capital to further develop its software for scanning, archiving, and protecting data on BlackBerry smartphones as well as to launch new versions of the software for the iPhone and devices that operate on Widows Mobile and Symbian.
