In Part 3 of the Washington Technology Industry Association’s cloud computing series, we’ll hear from Google in Seattle.
Google’s App Engine allows you to build and run applications on the same highly scalable web infrastructure that Google uses to run its own applications. This allows you to build an application once, and then never have to worry about how many people are using it, how many machines you’re using, or how you’re going to handle all the traffic.
In this talk, Mike Repass, Product Manager with Google, will introduce you to the basic features of Google App Engine, and walk you through the code for a simple application. He will also discuss some of the trade-offs with Google App Engine, and how it compares to other cloud computing offerings.
