RainDance Reports $6M Financing

RainDance Technologies, a Lexington, MA-based provider of life sciences research products, has raised $6 million of a $12 million round of private equity financing, according to an SEC filing. It’s unclear from the document who invested in the financing, but the firm lists its previous investors on its website. RainDance says its flagship product is the “RDT 1000” system, which applies its microdroplet-based technology to accelerate “targeted sequencing regions of the human genome.”
