How To Find, Fund, Protect and Launch New Technologies

The Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical Association is organizing the “How To Find, Fund, Protect and Launch New Technologies” is the first of many “How To” programs which will help illustrate the available resources at the University of Washington, as well as offer the expertise of local experts.

Stephen Graham of Fenwick & West will moderate this event, and will be joined by four panelists.

* Sean O’ Connor, of the UW Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, which offers no cost legal resources for early stage and high tech entrepreneurs as they develop their companies, business, tax, regulatory and IP law.
* Janis Machala, of UW TechTransfer, who has a wealth of knowledge about angel, venture, and strategic investment fundraising.
* Ron Howell, of WRF Capital, will offer expertise in financing startups and translational projects.
* Erik Nilsson, President of Insilicos. This is Nilsson’s fifth start-up company and he brings significant SBIR grant expertise to the event.
