CombiMatrix, the Mukilteo, WA-based maker of genetic analysis tools, said today it has received a $1.5 million contract from the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory. The company (NASDAQ: [[ticker:CBMX]]) is being asked to develop semiconductor automated tools that detect biological, chemical, and environmental hazards that may affect the health of soldiers. CombiMatrix has developed other products for the U.S. military, including tools to detect anthrax.
