Health IT Convergence and New Opportunities for Entrepreneurs: A Special Program

With the federal government providing at least $19 billion to spur the adoption of electronic health record (EHR) systems, the San Diego MIT Enterprise Forum has organized a special presentation on new opportunities for entrepreneurs. Few health care organizations are building systems to effectively use the billions of gigabytes to be collected. The main event: a panel discussion that includes Medsphere Systems CEO Mike Doyle, CardioNet Vice President of R&D Charles Gropper, Vic Kheterpal, and Tim Wollaeger of San Diego’s Sanderling Ventures. The moderator is Sharp HealthCare CEO Mike Murphy. Networking and registration begins at 5 p.m., and online registration is available here.
