The San Diego Venture Group hosts investment banker Frank Quattrone for its first breakfast meeting of 2010. Quattrone heads the merchant banking firm Qatalyst Group, which he founded in March 2008. As an investment banker at Credit Suisse First Boston during the 1990s tech boom, Quattrone led IPOs for dozens of companies, including Netscape, Cisco, and Amazon.com. He was later prosecuted for interfering with a government probe at Credit Suisse First Boston, but the case was eventually dropped. Mission Ventures Partner Robert Kibble will interview Quattrone on the outlook for venture capital, M&As, IPOs, and the hot sectors of the coming decade.
