the 10 organizations (Apperian, Appswell, bitHeads, Illume Software, the Public Radio Exchange, Roam Data, Rummble, Sand9, SparkCloud, and WherePhone) will give lightning presentations to the full audience, followed by an hour-long informal networking reception where the audience will get to mix with the companies around demo tables.

Xconomy’s Mobile Madness Forum is just one part of Mass Mobile Month, a series of 15 mobile-related events around Boston—which actually runs a little more than a month, between late February and early April. Next week will be the busiest week of the entire month, with two events per day on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

On Monday March 8, there’s Mobile Monday Boston, featuring a faceoff between British and American mobile companies, and a free virtual workshop on iPhone app development hosted by Raizlabs founder (and Mobile Madness panelist) Greg Raiz.

On Tuesday March 9, there’s Mobile Madness, followed by the Mass Technology Leadership Council’s Tech Tuesday event, also at the Microsoft New England R&D Center. The evening’s focus will be on mobile technology, and AT&T’s Steve Krom (another Mobile Madness panelist) and four local venture capital leaders will be there for “office hours” with budding mobile entrepreneurs.

On Wednesday March 10, the monthly Mass Innovation Nights event in Waltham will feature at least two local mobile companies, and MITX is organizing an “Across the Pond Showcase” featuring four U.K.-based mobile companies.

Speaking of Mass Mobile Month, earlier this week I met with Kathy Kiely, the president of the Ad Club, to record an interview for her online video series, The Big Orange Couch. The Ad Club is the leading trade organization for the marketing, advertising, and communications industry in New England, and the The Big Orange Couch (named after the colorful settee where Kiely usually conducts her interviews) is one of the organization’s channels for getting the word out about innovation in the field. I was glad to have a chance to tell Kathy earlier this week about Xconomy, Mobile Madness, and the whole Mass Mobile Month effort. Here’s the video:
