Leading energy visionaries, industry veterans, technologists, and entrepreneurs are gathering for this unique and interactive afternoon event about the coming wave of energy innovation—from new types of renewable energy to new and more efficient engines. Presentations include a discussion on how the future power grid will require new capabilities in sensors, wireless networks, IT infrastructure, and data analytics—technologies that represent some of San Diego’s strongest innovation clusters. Internet pioneer Larry Smarr, who is a co-investigator of the National Science Foundation’s Greenlight Project and director of the Calit2, is a keynote speaker. Immediately following the event is a 90-minute reception and networking event to showcase energy research underway at UCSD. Directions to event are here. Register online here.
