Hulu’s Feng Joins KPCB

Eric Feng, the founding CTO of online video site Hulu, will leave the company next month to join Silicon Valley venture firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, Hulu CEO Jason Kilar announced in a post on the company blog that included Feng’s goodbye letter to the Hulu staff. Previously the founder and CEO of Beijing-based Mojiti, a video annotation service, Feng led Hulu’s user experience design and implementation efforts. Feng’s letter said that he is set to become a partner at Kleiner and a technical adviser to former Vice President Al Gore, also a Kleiner partner. Feng wrote in his letter that his three years at Hulu have been “the most exciting, challenging and rewarding professional experience of my life. I could not be more proud of all that we’ve accomplished from our inauspicious beginning in the summer of 2007, to becoming the PC World product of the year, a Fast Company most innovative company, a Time Magazine invention of the year, and, most importantly, a brand that millions of people are so passionate about.”
