Boston-based Sonicbids, whose website helps bands discover and book gigs, announced it has acquired ArtistData, an online platform for publishing gig information. Sonicbids, which was used to bookmore than 71,000 gigs last year, says the acquisition of San Francisco-based ArtistData will better enable its customers to market and promote shows through social networks and concert databases. It did not disclose the financial terms of the deal, but said it plans to roll the ArtistData service into its product by the end of this year.
