Blu Homes Brings in $7M

Blu Homes, a Waltham, MA-based startup in the green building space, has raised $6.9 million in an equity offering, according to an SEC filing. The company reported the financing earlier last month in a press release, and we also wrote about the deal in our roundup of investments in Massachusetts startups last month. Blu Homes’ website says the company uses software to model homes, and ships them as pre-fab kits containing steel and wood framing. It also incorporates green elements such as recycled materials, low-flow fixtures, and efficient heating and cooling systems.
