California State Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher, R-San Diego, represents the 75th Assembly District. Fletcher was elected in 2008 and serves as vice chair of both the Assembly Health Committee and the Assembly Select Committee on Biotechnology. He is the first combat veteran of the Global War on Terror to serve in the California State Legislature. Fletcher was named Biocom’s Legislator of the Year for 2009; he was pivotal in the passage of corporate tax reform that enacted single sales factor tax apportionment.
