You’re Invited to an Open House Celebrating Xconomy’s Arrival in San Francisco

We may be little bit behind schedule with this, given that we launched Xconomy San Francisco on June 14, but hey, it’s never too late to throw a party. All of our new friends and fans in the Bay Area are cordially invited to an August 13 open house at Xconomy’s new San Francisco headquarters—which is to say, my new live/work loft at Mississippi St. and 22nd in the Potrero Hill/Dogpatch neighborhood.

The informal gathering will run from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, August 13. I’ll be hosting this event along with our National Biotechnology Editor, Luke Timmerman, who’s flying down from Seattle. There’ll be great conversation with entrepreneurs, investors, journalists, and public relations professionals from the infotech, life sciences, and energy spaces. And we’ll have wine, cheese, and more to keep the party rolling.

I’m eager to show off my new digs, in what Luke likes to call the fully-equipped 21st century newsroom—with Wi-Fi, desk, couch, and fridge. We certainly want to meet as many local innovators as possible, and hear your stories.

So come one, come all to 699 Mississippi Street, Suite 206 (map below). As I mentioned, that’s in a building at the corner of Mississippi and 22nd Street, in a neighborhood that’s either at the foot of southeastern Potrero Hill, or on the western edge of the Dogpatch, depending on your point of view. There’s ample parking on Mississippi Street, on 22nd, and a block east on Pennsylvania Street. If the front gate isn’t open when you get here, just use the intercom or ring me at 415-796-3024, then proceed up to the second floor. I hope to see you here!
