PointCare Technologies, a Marlborough, MA-based provider of diagnostics technology designed for populations with HIV/AIDS in developing countries, has raised $1.8 million of a planned $3.5 million equity round of funding, an SEC filing reveals. Founded in 2002, PointCare makes lower-cost, multi-purpose medical devices that require less training to use than traditional technologies, according to the company’s website.
