Connect, in partnership with the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce & San Diego Workforce Partnership has organized a presentation on President Obama’s innovation policy. Speakers for the event include Peter Cowhey, who recently returned to UC San Diego after serving a 12-month special assignment in the Obama Administration; John Fernandez, U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development; Matthew Genusaitis, the President and CEO of Octane, the Orange County innovation development corporation; and Mary Walshok, UC San Diego Associate Vice Chancellor for Public Programs and dean of the UCSD Extension.
