Sage Bionetworks, the nonprofit seeking to spark an open source movement for biology, is organizing the launch event for its Washington Partners Program on Nov. 1. This event will feature talks from Sage president Stephen Friend, Jim Karkanias of Microsoft, Trey Ideker of UC San Diego, and Eric Schadt of Pacific Biosciences.
