7. Fotopedia Heritage — Fotonauts, free — I wrote a whole column about this app back on August 27, calling it “the world’s coolest coffee table book.” It’s an interactive photo tour of 890 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, drawn mostly from Flickr and annotated with articles from Wikipedia and other sources. With 20,000 images, it’s not likely to bore you.
