Punchbowl Buys Socializr

Framingham, MA-based party planning website Punchbowl.com announced it has acquired Socializr.com, a San Francisco-based event management platform. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Socializr, which was started by Jonathan Abrams, the founder of social networking site Friendster, will integrate with Punchbowl’s online party planning services, which include customizable invitations, potluck planning, local vendor listings, and gift registries.
