Join the Conversation with Michael Moritz Next Tuesday

I’m getting really excited (and a little nervous, to tell you the truth) about Xconomy’s first big event in San Francisco—my on-stage talk with Michael Moritz, the legendary venture capitalist who led Sequoia Capital’s investments in Google, Yahoo, Flextronics, PayPal, YouTube, Zappos, Kayak, Pure Digital, Green Dot, and many other high-profile technology companies.

If you haven’t already signed up to attend, now’s the time, before we all go offline for a long weekend of Thanksgiving family festivities. Register here and get one of the few remaining seats for the talk, which will be held at San Francisco’s Kicklabs incubator from 5:00 to 8:00 pm next Tuesday, November 30.

I’ll be asking Moritz to share his secrets for spotting great entrepreneurs and great ideas. We’ll also talk about the health of the venture industry, the contrasts between individual investing and venture investing, the rise of entrepreneurship in places like India and China, and the roles Sequoia companies like Google and Apple are playing in the Silicon Valley ecosystem today. And don’t worry, I’ll be sure to leave plenty of time for questions from the audience.

Moritz has been called a “long-ball hitter” by BusinessWeek and “one of the most famous venture capitalists in the world” by Technology Review. But he doesn’t make a lot of public appearances—so this is a rare chance to get insights on investing and company-building from one of the greats.
