The Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical Association is organizing an event on Jan. 19 titled “P4 Medicine: Why Seattle is Leading the Charge.” The program will focus on how cancer is the best example to date of personalized/genomic medicine. As part of this global topic, the program will illustrate how application of personalized medicine influences the choice of drugs for treatment and how the approach is used to pre-select responders. The program will also illustrate how genomics is being used to pick the best new targets for drug discovery and how this is approach is used for drug validation.
