Amazon Buys Lovefilm

Seattle-based Amazon (NASDAQ: [[ticker:AMZN]]) said today it has reached an agreement to acquire Lovefilm International, a European company that sends movies to customers through the mail and through streaming media. Amazon already has a minority ownership stake in the company, which operates in the U.K., Germany, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Terms of the acquisition weren’t disclosed. The deal is expected to be finalized before the end of March, Amazon said.
