MindShift Rounds Up Orbit

Waltham, MA-headquartered IT and cloud services firm MindShift Technologies announced today that it has acquired Orbit Systems, a managed services provider based in Minnesota’s Twin Cities, for an undisclosed sum. Orbit Systems’ 54 employees will remain as a result of the acquisition, which helps MindShift expand its reach across North America, according to the announcement. This is MindShift’s second acquisition of 2011; last month it bought Alpheon, a provider of IT services to healthcare clients. MindShift’s employee count is up to 492 with the acquisition of both companies.
