The San Diego Center for Algae Biotechnology has organized a two-day symposium on the economic viability of algae-based biofuels. Presentations will cover state of the art technologies in algal molecular genetics, biochemistry, and synthetic genomics. The first day of the symposium will include science speakers from the commercial side of algae biofuels research and development. The second day will include presentations on research from the newly established Consortium for Algal Biofuels Commercialization (CAB-Comm). More information and online registration is here.
