Halogen Merges with YouCast

San Francisco-based Halogen Media, a startup that places ads and content across a network of independent publishers, said on its blog today that it has merged with YouCast, a New York company offering similar services. “Together with the YouCast team and technology, the new Halogen will strive to deliver the ideal blend of paid media (custom ad units and campaigns across our network of hand-picked, authentic publishers) and earned media (Facebook, Twitter and blog content created by both fans and brands) at scale,” the company said. Financial details of the merger were not disclosed.
