New York-based VYou raised $3 million in funding, led by RRE Ventures and Highland Capital Partners, with participation from High Peaks Venture Partners, Broadway Video Ventures, Kevin Wall, David Tisch, and Rick Webb, according to a press release. VYou is developing a text-to-video technology that allows people to send and receive short videos. The company has scored partnerships with MTV/VH1, Hearst Newspapers, Simon & Schuster, and others.
