Current mayoral candidate and President of the SF Board of Supervisors, David Chiu will discuss the work he’s doing to build a 21st century economy in San Francisco. He will be addressing the audience on his policy proposals to reform San Francisco’s business tax, to award more contracts to local businesses, and to revamp city government’s use of technology, as well as current issues affecting entrepreneurs and small businesses in San Francisco.

As President of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, David Chiu has been a leading voice on a wide array of issues, particularly for small businesses. Before his election to public office, David was a founder and Chief Operating Officer of Grassroots Enterprise, an online communications technology company in San Francisco. Prior to Grassroots, he worked as a civil rights attorney at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and as a criminal prosecutor with the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. He attended college, law school and public policy graduate school at Harvard University.”
