OnSwipe Pulls in $5 Million

Jason Baptiste, co-founder of New York-based OnSwipe, told Xconomy in early May he’d soon have something to announce about the “Series Awesome” funding round he had been saying the company was securing. Today OnSwipe announced it raised a $5 million funding round, led by Spark Capital, and yes, they really did call it a Series Awesome on the cover of the term sheet, which TechCrunch published. Other investors include Lightbank, Yuri Milner, Lerer Ventures, SV Angel, Betaworks, Morado Venture Partners, Eniac Ventures, and Thrive Capital.
