Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis — Push Pop Press, $0.99 — Probably the best iPad adaption of a print book yet produced, this app (which I first reviewed in July) supplements Al Gore’s compelling writing about the causes and consequences of global warming with absorbing diagrams, animations, and maps. Too bad there’s no Pulitzer for interactive books.

I have a B.A. in the history of science from Harvard College and a PhD in the history and social study of science and technology from MIT.
