Zite — This app is all about personalization. After you prime the pump by connecting Zite to your Twitter feed or Google Reader account, it analyzes your feeds and makes up its own section headings based on the subjects it thinks you like. It asks you whether you enjoyed each article you read, and uses your answer to adjust what it shows you in the future. You can explicitly ask for more content from the same author, or on the same subject. Pros: Easy switching between “Reader” and “Web” modes. Evernote integration. Cons: The app needs a good scrubbing by a design professional. There’s a bewildering variety of typefaces for display, body, and navigation text, for example.
