The San Diego Center for Algae Biotechnology (SD-CAB) is hosting a symposium on the use of genomics and molecular biology to enable increased productivity of photosynthetic organisms, both crop plants and algae. At a time of increasing global demands for fossil fuels and improved crop production, the symposium will address the need to boost renewable energy and food production worldwide.
