A Cleantech Opportunity for the Imperial Valley: SDSU’s Jobs Accelerator Project

San Diego State University is creating a multi-departmental testing, commercialization, and workforce training facility on the SDSU Brawley campus in Imperial Valley. SDSU’s “Jobs Accelerator Project” will establish a site for performing commercial-scale, proof-of-concept demonstrations of renewable energy technologies, along with technical training curricula to create high-wage, cleantech jobs. The project will substantially improve the region’s economic outlook by expanding the pipeline of financial and intellectual capital from San Diego and other cleantech hubs. The project also will provide small business development support and services such as training, mentoring, consulting and funding to produce and fast-track deployment of new systems and technologies for the Imperial Valley. The agenda includes presentations from clean technology companies. More information and online registration is here.
