The Pacific Northwest Economic Region and Washington Economic Development Commission are hosting a Pacific Northwest Innovation Summit in Seattle Sept. 17-19th as part of the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Seattle World’s Fair. The summit brings together an invited group of business, government and academic leaders to leverage innovation assets and collaborative efforts between states and provinces of the Pacific Northwest and work toward a long term action plan. Speakers include Elson Floyd, the president of Washington State University; Richard Galanti, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Costco Wholesale; Rogers Weed, the secretary of the Washington Department of Commerce; Linden Rhoads of the University of Washington Center for Commercialization; Dan Rosen of the Alliance of Angels and more.
