The Predictive Analytics Center of Excellence (PACE) is holding its first industry-focused event at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. The PACE Data Mining Boot Camp is designed to assist individuals in scientific communities, including industry, to learn more about the latest predictive analytic strategies associated with the growing discipline of data mining. Participants will explore, in a hands-on format, the latest advances in data mining tools, data preparation, algorithms, model evaluation, and validation techniques. Attendees also will have access to data mining tools on SDSC’s new Gordon supercomputer, one of the world’s most powerful supercomputers and the first to employ massive amounts of flash-based memory, which offers a significant performance gain for applications that exhibit random access data patterns. More information and online registration is here.
