Thinking of launching an app in Android? This intermediate-level class will walk students through the process of building an Android app that goes a few steps beyond “Hello World”.
Specifically, this class will cover:
—Setting up a development environment on your computer
—Stucturing your project
—Using buttons and toast messaging
—Integrating 3rd party libraries
—Connecting to a cloud backend
Prerequisites:
—Programming experience (those new to programming may get lost)
—Some familiarity with Java is strongly recommended
Required Materials/Software:
—Android SDK
—Eclipse (comes with latest Android SDK)
