Mobile Madness Motor City: Linkner, Song, & More at Jan. 17 Forum

Xconomy Forum: Mobile Madness Motor City

All of you smartphone-toting innovators know it’s true: Five short years since the first iPhones sparked lines around Apple stores, mobile computing has completely transformed our lives. Whether revolutionizing the way we communicate or how we run our companies, there’s hardly a business in operation that hasn’t been affected by the power of mobile.

In Detroit, where the Mobile Monday meetup group has more than 1,000 members and is steadily growing, mobile computing is a hot topic. As our tech scene grows and gains legitimacy, mobile-centered startups are some of the most innovative new companies in Michigan.

But as the mobile tech sector really heats up, what are Michigan’s unique opportunities? What about growth strategies? What will we be talking about over the course of the next five years, as devices and applications are seamlessly integrated into our cars, our jobs, and our lifestyles?

To help hash out mobile trends and how to maximize mobile’s promise, Xconomy has gathered a top-notch group of entrepreneurs, investors, and business and technology thinkers for our newest event, Mobile Madness Motor City.

This half-day forum, hosted by Compuware in downtown Detroit on Jan. 17, builds on a wildly popular series of events Xconomy has held in Boston and Seattle. Though the CEO of Detroit Labs will be on had to chat about mobile apps, Mobile Madness Motor City goes far beyond smartphones. Our forum’s interactive talks will showcase the top investors, entrepreneurs, and executives wrestling with the next big ideas in mobile computing—from commerce and entertainment to media, advertising, finance, big data, analytics, and beyond.

Get your tickets now for the best prices, and make sure to check out our special rates for students and startups. The program will run from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with plenty of time for networking and discussions afterward.
