It promises to be a fantastic afternoon, with a great lineup of serial entrepreneurs, investors, and newcomer founders with some big visions about the future of mobile. Kicking off the day will be Rich Miner, co-inventor of the Android operating system and now general partner at Google Ventures, and Robby Stein, the CEO of Stamped. They will be sharing a founder-investor story of how they worked to bring the mobile recommendation app maker to the point it recently became the first purchase of new Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer.
Another VC-entrepreneur story—this time about location-based advertising—will come from Roger Ehrenberg of IA Ventures and PlaceIQ CEO and co-founder Duncan McCall. Another keynote will feature Bing Fund partner Rahul Sood. And complementing these great speakers will be three panels, on Media, Content, and Publishing; Mobile and the Enterprise; and Buying and Selling (ie, e-commerce). We’ll also have some special “burst” presentations from cool new startups.
One more thing: We’ve had a few speaker changes in the last few days. The big news is that Khoi Vinh of Mixel has had to withdraw. But joining us in his place is Zach Seward, senior editor for Quartz, the new tablet and mobile business publication from Atlantic Media Co. He will be joining the Media, Content, and Publishing panel.
