Highground Hackers presents a weekend hackathon focused on ideas for reducing gun violence and other issues linked to mental health. From the event organizers:
“You are invited to the next hackathon from the Highground Hackers! This event is focused on Mental Health issues – finding creative solutions from the most creative minds in the Bay Area – yours!
As with all of our hackathons, we take challenging issues and provide you with experts in the field to tackle them. For this challenge, the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), the leading academic institution on holistic Mental Health, will be on the ground as mentors, educators, and consultants to you as you build your solutions.

Bring your own project*, or work directly with researchers, lecturers, and other experts to create real solutions to important issues. This is all brought to bare to enable you to build the most effective apps possible in what promises to be an exciting weekend.
The event is sponsored by Accenture and will be held at the Rackspace co-working space Geekdom, food and drinks will be provided. You’ll have power, wi-fi, and a great place to meet other hackers and build cool stuff.”
