Silicon Flatirons Crash Course: Jason Mendelson on Venture Capital

The University of Colorado’s Silicon Flatirons Center hosts a crash course on venture capital lead by Jason Mendelson, a Foundry Group managing director. From the event’s website:

“Although many startups hope to become venture capital-backed companies, few understand how the venture capital industry works. In this Crash Course, Jason Mendelson will attempt to illuminate what many consider the venture capital black box. Jason will explain how venture capitalists think, how they raise their funds, and how they decide to invest their money. If you are a startup looking to raise venture capital, this Crash Course will help you understand how to cultivate relationships with venture capitalists, how to engage them, and how to make the relationship a productive one.”

Register online. The event is free for CU students, faculty, and “struggling entrepreneurs,” but members of the general public are asked to pay $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
