The San Diego Venture Group has asked Cack Wilhelm of Scale Venture Partners, Jonathan MacQuitty of Abingworth, and David Coats of Correlation Ventures to offer their insights and outlook for the venture industry in 2015.
Scale, based in Foster City, CA, specializes in SaaS, Cloud, Mobile and Internet sectors. Wilhelm joined Scale last year and focuses on investments in software infrastructure, Big Data, DevOpps, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. Abingworth invests exclusively in the life sciences and healthcare sectors. MacQuitty has led Abingworth’s West Coast office in Menlo Park, CA, since 1999. Correlation uses predictive analytics to optimize its investments in both life sciences and tech startups.
