Video conference technology company Vidyo said this week it promoted Eran Westman to be its CEO.
Co-founder Ofer Shapiro shifted into a vice chairman role, the Hackensack, NJ, company also said. Westman joined Vidyo last February as its chief revenue officer. Prior to joining the company, Westman was an executive vice president with Israel-based Ceragon Networks.
Along with Westman’s promotion, Vidyo hired Guy Resheff to be its chief technology officer. He was CTO, co-founder, and president at Provigent, a wireless chip provider acquired by Broadcom in 2011 for $340 million.
Vidyo’s cloud-based software lets businesses and even physicians set up video calls that can be run on desktop computers and mobile devices. For instance, its technology has been used to help doctors “see” patients in remote regions of Alaska.
