It’s time for the second installment of our ongoing series exploring the beers on tap at the headquarters of Wisconsin startups. Next up is Madison-based PerBlue, a mobile game developer that has 25 full-time employees. Chief operating officer Forrest Woolworth (pictured above, right, with MobCraft Beer’s Henry Schwartz and Andrew Gierczak) describes playtime at the office:
What’s on tap at PerBlue?
We partnered with MobCraft to brew our very own PerBrew Apollo Ale. It’s a tasty maple brown ale, and we have a stash of 22 oz. bomber bottles on hand. We also have a variety of local craft beers that we replenish on a regular basis. Employees also bring in their own favorite six-packs or new beers to try and share. For the non-beer drinkers, we have an Old Fashioned bar as well as a stock of non-alcoholic ginger beers.
Kegs, bottles, or cans?
Bottles of craft beer, cans of PBR.
Office happy hour?
We grill out about once a week in the summer months for lunch, which many people supplement with a refreshing beer.
Best thing/worst thing about beer in the office?
Best: The principle behind “having a beer” with someone—it’s helped our team become more tight-knit and get to know each other better.
Worst: Spilled beer.
