Austin Chamber Awards A-List Startups: Slideshow

It can be tough to keep track of the hundreds of new startups popping up in Austin, TX, more of which seemingly appear every day.

That’s why the Austin Chamber of Commerce began creating an A-List of 12 startups annually. South by Southwest Interactive co-hosted an event last night in downtown Austin with the chamber to announce the startups that were seen as this year’s “hottest,” picked from a group of 275 nominees.

The winners ranged from a maker of antibiotic diagnostics to artificial intelligence businesses, and they received prizes that included a South by Southwest Interactive pass and a six-month membership to FoundersCard.

Winners were divided into three categories: early-stage businesses with funding or revenue of less than $1 million; mid-stage companies with funding of up to $10 million or revenue of up to $20 million; and mature businesses with more than $10 million of financing or $20 million of revenue.
