As part of Xconomy’s report on the scope of the healthtech sector in Madison, WI, we used Google Maps to plot the locations of the 43 companies on our list.
The map is color-coded based on four categories: software-only companies, those that have a hardware component, software consulting businesses, and those that do both consulting and software development.
You can click on each of the markers to pull up a box with company statistics. The data sources include ReferenceUSA, CB Insights, SEC filings, company websites, and research by the Madison Region Economic Partnership (MadREP) and Xconomy. (Please e-mail us with any updates.)

He graduated from Marquette University with a bachelor degree in journalism and Spanish. At Marquette he was an award-winning reporter and editor with The Marquette Tribune, the student newspaper. During college he also was a reporter intern for the Muskegon Chronicle and Grand Rapids Press in west Michigan.
