company will be called Adient and will start trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Oct. 3, under the ticker symbol ADNT. In a press release, Milwaukee-based JCI said Adient will focus on car seats and vehicle interiors. Adient will disclose detailed financial information by April, JCI said in the release.

—Technology companies large and small are getting into the insurance industry, which some observers view as staid and ripe for disruption. In response, groups like Madison-based American Family Insurance are investing in and partnering with “Internet of Things” companies, which update formerly offline devices so they can connect to the Web and to each other. —Stealth Therapeutics raised $65,000 from four investors, according to an SEC filing. which indicates that the company seeks to raise up to $200,000. In 2014, the Madison-based startup raised more than $450,000 to fund a study of the clinical performance of its lead medical device, which delivers chemotherapy, antibiotics, and nutrients to patients intravenously. Stealth has said the device, known as Invisiport, is less invasive than traditional chest ports.

—University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee chancellor Mark Mone said construction on a new, entrepreneurship-focused building is likely to start in 2018. The project was made possible by a $10 million gift from Sheldon and Marianne Lubar, which the school announced in July; the University of Wisconsin System has since said it will contribute $10 million in matching funds.
